FAQ’s – Personal Injury Lawsuit Loans

What are Personal Injury Lawsuit Loans?

These loans are also called pre-settlement loans, and they technically aren’t loans. They are cash advances that are made specifically for the purpose of helping people in the middle of a bad personal injury lawsuit make ends meet until the end of the court case.

What kind of cases are eligible for money?

Just about any form of personal injury suit can be covered with a pre-settlement loan. Vehicle, personal injury, neglect, elder abuse, malpractice, Jones Act, assault cases, sexual harassment suits, FELA and Jones Act cases can all be covered by this kind of loan. It’s important to note that this short list doesn’t cover all the suits covered by pre-settlement loans, so if you feel you may have a good case, ask us for help.

What kind of things can I use the money I receive for?

While we feel way more comfortable doing business with people who use this money to pay for medical bills and other needs, you really have no restrictions on what you can use the money for.

How long do I have to wait for the money to clear? These loans are as fast as can be. Upon approval (which takes 24 hours), you can get your money in as little as a day.

How much can I receive?

Borrowers can get as anywhere from $5,000 to $500,000 per case, but most lenders will cap the maximum amount in an advance at $300,000.

What’s the cost?

We will never charge an evaluation fee or an application fee. Our fees range at about 3% per month, depending on the kind of case you have and the lender we match you with.

I lost the case. What now?

If you lose the case, you do NOT have to repay your Personal Injury Lawsuit Loan. That’s right – you won’t owe us a dime if you lose!

Can I get a bank loan?

Most conservative lenders like banks won’t issue out loans against a lawsuit. This is your best (and likely only) bet.

Can my lawyer give me the money instead?

By law, lawyers are not allowed to lend client’s money unless it’s for case expenses. This is done to prevent a conflict of interest. Unfortunately, that means the answer is no.

Does it matter how long the case is supposed to take?

Nope. It can take as little as 2 months, or as much as 10 years. We don’t care. What we do care about is the fact that you need money, and we can help.

Wait, can I talk to my lawyer first?

Absolutely! We strongly encourage you to seek out their advice on the subject if you feel you need that boost of confidence.

Do I need an attorney’s assistance?

It’s never harmful to speak with an attorney regarding personal and business matters, and often times, it may be the best thing you can do if you think that an attorney’s advice can help you. Although we aren’t a law firm and we cannot provide anyone with any legal advice, you are more than welcome to speak with an attorney that we use for our company. We truly want to get familiar with our clients, and help them in any way we can. Simply send an email to info@thecreditexpress.org and we’ll be sure to forward it.
